Fantastic Friday

Hello Friday.  Don't you just love the weekend?    This week has been a busy one for us, I have been in charge of crafts for our church VBS and helping supervise a room full of preschoolers armed with green paint(scary).  My nephew is here visiting so there have been play times and also a visit to the county fair and another visit on schedule for tomorrow.    Very busy but also very Fun,  isn't that what summer is all about?
Having fun with frog crafts at VBS.  The theme is Fully Rely On God or FROG.
You cannot go to the fair and not have some good ole fair food,  taking a break from watching the tough truck competition.
I hope you all are having a wonderful summer and have a Fantastic Friday.

Small Wonders Wednesday

Yesterday the duo turned 6 months...Wow, so hard to believe.   They are such a joy!
Blake is our mover,  he rolls everywhere and is trying to scoot/crawl.   He is also our giggle box,  laughing is one of his favorite things to do.   He loves his Mommy but if Daddy is around he could care less about Mommy.
Brenna is our bald headed grinning girl,  she does not laugh all the time like her brother but she grins about everything.   She is not a mover, Oh, she can roll over but she would rather not use up her energy to do so.   She loves Mommy too but likes most anybody that will hold her and walk around.

Mommy Moments Monday

These is a bond between these two,  it is amazing.
Blake was not feeling well the other day(fussy and whining) so I laid him beside Brenna, the moment I put their hands together he calmed right down and lay still for a very long time.   It is not uncommon for them to be beside each other and reach out and grab hands and hang on for a while.   They say twins have a connection like no other and I now believe it.

Fantastic Friday

This past Saturday Eric took Piper on a date to a Fly - In.   Piper has inherited her Dad's love for airplanes and flying.   We did not tell her about it because it was supposed to rain and we did not want to disappoint her.   So when Eric woke her up and asked her if she wanted to go eat pancakes and see airplanes she was thrilled.

This plane says "Flying Station Wagon".   That is what we would need to haul our kids and luggage, or maybe a flying bus.
Piper loves the fact that she shares her name with an airplane,  so of course she had to get her picture taken with a Piper.
Eric's friend George owns this plane and let Piper sit in it,  that made her day.
I love that Eric takes time to have "date" time with his little girl ~  she will treasure those memories forever.

Small Wonders Wednesday ~ Munchkin Products Part 1

I have to tell you I love products made by Munchkin,   they are quality.    The duo has decided they love eating solids and so I got them these Mesh Fresh Food Feeder and let me tell you they love them.  I have given them banana in it and I also make a thick cereal with some baby food Green Beans mixed in it and boy did they like that.    These feeders are a mesh bag with a handle for baby to hold onto,  they open so you can fill them.   They can be a little tricky to clean but if you rinse them and soak them immediately after eating you will find them clean up fairly easy.  They are also dishwasher safe ~  great for sanitizing once in awhile.
No clothes, laying on a towel in the living room, eating cereal with Green Beans,  what more could a baby ask for.
I am going to be letting them try some more fresh fruits and veggies in theses feeders soon.   Maybe apples, peaches, pears, potatoes, what do you suggest?   What are some fruits and veggies that are soft or can be steamed and made softer that would be good for the duo to try?

*Fresh Food Feeders can usually be found at Wal-Mart, Target and Diapers.com,  for 20% off your Diapers.com order please leave me a comment or email and I will give you a special code.
*These opinions are entirely my own,  no product or money was exchanged for this review.

Mommy Moments Monday

This being Father's Day weekend made me think about the wonderful man God allowed me to marry.   I am so thankful for the man I married he loves God, me and our children, Oh, so much.   I love the way he helps take care of the kids, feeds, dresses, plays with them and even changes a diaper on occasion.   Sure we have had our ups and down but I can honestly say I love him more today then I did when I married him  8 1/2 years ago.
November 12, 2004   I married my best friend and the love of my life.
Thank you God for the wonderful man you gave me.
January 27, 2009 God gave us a precious little girl Piper J.~  she stole Daddy's heart right from the start.
December 25, 2012  God gave us a double blessing Blake & Brenna joined our little family ~  and they to have filled Daddy's heart and arms.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and if you had the privilege of having a great Father I hope you took the time to tell him how much he is loved and appreciated.   If your Father is no longer living I know the day is bitter sweet but we can still thank God for the privilege of having had a wonderful Father.

Fantastic Friday

We are sure enjoying our summertime,  warm temps and sunny days.  I have been using my cleaning schedule and it has been helping me have time to enjoy my kiddos and do fun things like this.
Miss Brenna's first time in a swing,  she enjoyed it very much.
Mr. Blake's first time in a swing,  he loved it too.
And of course the big sister always enjoys swinging,  especially if you will push her really high.
Well it looks like a beautiful weekend ahead of us,  I am hosting Father's Day lunch at my house on Sunday...so I will be kept very busy for the next few days.      Hope each one of you has a fantastic Friday and entire weekend.

Small Wonders Wednesday

Ladies and Gentlemen,  I just want to tell you about one of my favorite places to shop for baby stuff (and you know with two you need lots of stuff).    As many of you know we live in small town Iowa,  and thus we have Wal-Mart and Hy-Vee to shop for baby items, food, etc.   And so the selection is very limited unless you drive 45min to an hour away for more stores.  With three kids to tote along I would rather shop at home and so I have been using Diapers.com,  this place is wonderful.   Everything you could need for your infant, toddler or older child ~ they have it.   The other thing to love about them is the fast shipping,  most items are to your door in two days and most items the price is pretty much the same as your local retail store.  Now how cool is that?    I have used them for swings(2), highchair, bibs, pacifier, cups (for Piper) and I don't remember what else.   It really has been a lifesaver for me.   So if you are in the market for baby items that you just can't find or you just don't want to get out and shop this is the place for you.
*These are my own opinions, this post is not sponsored by Diapers.com

Mommy Moments Monday

Here are just a few of the reasons I love being a Mommy.
Piper driving and drinking while wearing Grandads  ear muffs.   She must have just pick them up from somewhere because later he  came in the shop looking for them.   (By the way we did not by our child a Power Wheel car,  her Nana found it for $5 at a yard sale ~ Grandpa fixed some wires and it was good as new.)
This always brings a smile to my face, seeing my husband holding one of his babies.

Blake and his silly faces ~  what a crazy baby he is.
Piper teaching Brenna all about princesses.   I know Brenna was just thrilled to get to hold the wedding Cinderella.    Love it that Piper whats to teach them how to play.
So sweet when the duo holds hands and look so cute wearing their new pj's from NeeNee and Grumpy.

Small Wonders Wednesday

Today I do not have a product for you to see,  I just have a few pictures of my "Small Wonders."

Blake and Brenna turned 5 months on May 25,  so hard to believe.
I just love my talkative, smiley, roller ~ Blake Levi.   He had figured out how to roll and can get himself in some pretty crazy places.
My sweet kiddo's,  so thankful God has allowed me to be their Mommy.    Piper Jaylin, my beautiful, full of life and questions, always a princess ~ who wants to be a mechanic when she grows up...4 year old.
Brenna Joy,  the smiling, snuggling, to lazy to roll over little girl.   She is a roly poly sweetheart.

Mommy Moments Monday

And this is why I missed Fantastic Friday post,  I got so deep in my cleaning and organizing (finding a home for all the baby food) that I completely forgot about it.   Sorry...life happens sometimes.   And if you are wondering my kitchen does not always look like this in fact just shortly after this was taken it was spotless.   (There is even spot a can of Chalkboard paint...projects must get done)
The duo has ventured into the world of baby food, rice cereal and even a drink from a sippy cup.  And I am happy to report they are doing great with it and Love it.
Piper told me "Your pretty smart,  you can feed to babies at one time."   At times I have two handed it.  It takes skills to have twins.  SMILE!
Even Piper is getting in on the action,  Blake does not care who is feeding him as long as you don't make him wait.
