Trick or Treat

This year we went Trick or Treating with Payton and Keagan,  Winnie the Pooh had a wonderful time.
Winnie the Pooh, Sleeping Beauty and Mr. Dog
Piper kept insisting I call her Winnie the Pooh not Piper, guess you got to get into character.
As we were driving to meet up with the other kids,  I looked in the back and saw this adorable site, Pooh is extra cute with sunglasses.

New Camera~LOVE

I ordered a new(to me) Canon Rebel xs and I do believe I am in love.  I have had so much fun with it in just a few hours.  Just think of the photos of Piper I will be taking now, poor girl will run when the camera comes out.
Who can resist that Popsicle smile?
Sleeping babies are so sweet.

Kitchen Makeover~Loving It!

I told you I have been working on a project, it is now complete.  So now we will begin the tour, please stay with your tour guide and keep arms and legs inside the vehicle at all times.  OK, so now that we all know the rules follow me, first you see the lovely, homey, well just plain ugly cabinets.  They totally take away from my "Split Pea Soup" walls (which I am in love with), I have been wanting to have them painted but it just never worked out (the budget was saying "no"), then enters Rust-Olem Cabinet Transformations.
Thanks so my wonderful Mother for seeing this stuff at the hardware store, it is the greatest stuff.  So easy just wash and degloss cabinets, paint with two coats of white, paint on glaze, wipe off, clear coat and there you have it "new" cabinets.
I am loving the "clean" feel and look of my kitchen, so cheerful.  There is some color variation due to the fact I did not use the same pressure when wiping the glaze off,  but you know what if it doesn't bother you it doesn't bother me.
I am also liking my new vignettes, simple, just the way I like it.
Someday I will get that dishwasher, hopefully in the next year.

Hope you have enjoyed seeing the kitchen going from drab to fab, at least in my opinion.

Dressed For Fall

Welcome, so glad you stopped by to see my fall Living Room decor.  First off is the entryway, I absolutely love my bench, it makes such a cute place to sit seasonal decor and also houses all off our winter mittens, hats and scarves.
Come on in and have a seat in the living room. I am loving my recliner, not exactly the color I would have chosen but the price was very reasonable (FREE). And hey, off white goes with about anything, right?  Can't you just feel that cool autumn breeze blowing the curtains, makes you want to sit, read a book and have a latte'.
Now to the other side of the room, still loving my photo display above the couch.  I am thinking of putting Christmas pictures of  Piper in the frames for the Christmas/winter season.  What do you lovely readers think?
The little corner nook, I am loving the way this turned out this year.  Special memories displayed for all to see, the couples in the photos are my grandparent~ right frame: Jack and Clara Norwood(Mom's parents), left frame: Ed and Dorothy Robinson(Dad's parents). The shadow box on the bottom shelf hold a drawing by my Great Grandma Brasher(Mom's Grandma) and the crayolas she used to draw with.  The pumpkins were made by my Grandad Jack Norwood.
And lastly the piano, with her touches of fall.  Thank you for stopping in for a visit, stay tuned for the unveiling of a much needed makeover. I am very excited to show all of you what I have been up to.
