More of Thanksgiving Day...

A few more Thanksgiving pictures.
Daddy & Mommy to-be!
This is Granny(Merna)Miller's sister Doris and her husband Bill, they live in a town very close to us and used to come for holiday dinners. But Doris is getting Alzheimer's and has fallen so they were not able to come, so several of us went over Thanksgiving afternoon and visited them in the care facility where they live. They really enjoyed seeing everyone especially Colter.

Colter's first Thanksgiving. He really does like Aunt Melissa he just do not smile for the camera, I could get him to "talk" and grin for me any other time. Hope you enjoyed a peek into our day.

A Wonderful Thanksgiving...

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with some of our family here in Iowa. We ate dinner at Merlin & Kim's house and so much yummy food, I was stuffed and I looked like it. Here is a few pictures from our day, sorry they got out of order.

Serving up all the great food.
More food and family.

Thanksgiving Greeting from Payton...Enjoy

Getting ready for Turkey Day

Well the guys around here are getting ready for the big feasting day, they are finishing harvest today. They set a goal to be done by today and as Merlin put it "if the sky doesn't fall down" they will be done. I am so happy, it will be nice to have my husband home earlier than 3 in the morning.
The kids had not ridden in the combine yet so we went and rode for a while this morning. They both enjoyed it. Keegan thought it was so fun he eventually went to sleep.

Eric being the harvest elf.

My big helper! Payton help me mash the sweet potatoes this morning for the casserole. I am so thankful for all the many blessings the Lord has given to me, a wonderful husband, a baby coming before we know it, the greatest family on earth and my sweet little Payton and Keegan. The list could go on and on but I will end by saying that I am thankful for each one of my friends old and new alike. I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day.

30 Weeks and counting...

Here is a report from Mommy-Missy. I went to the Dr. on Friday and measured 30cm and little ones heartbeat was 136. The Dr. said everything is looking good and right on schedule. I also took the sugar test, where they test for Gestational Diabetes. Everything came back fine on the test, Thank the Lord. I now have to go the the Dr. every two week instead of once a month so I guess that means I am getting a little closer to meeting our bundle of Joy.
Am I getting as big as a snowman?

Finished Object Friday

Well Finished Object Friday is here again. This week I made some paint filled glass balls for the white Christmas tree in the office/scrapbooking room. I made some of these last year and loved them so I made a few for this tree, I was not finding anything to match the color scheme of the room so I made my own. Go on over to Chari's blog for more Finished Object Friday projects and you can find the information for making these ornaments here on her blog also, just scroll down the page and you will find two post about them.
Pink & Green is the thing.

Christmas Decorating sneak peek...

Here is a sneak peek of our Christmas decorating. I will try to get some pictures taken of the finished products. Payton "helped" me put the ornaments on the kitchen tree, while she was helping the she looked at me and said "I'm great at this." I guess for a three year old she did very well.

I let her help with a few ornaments on the living room tree but I did not want everything about three foot tall or lower, so I finished it after she went home. I know, I am a mean babysitter! I don't have the kids anymore this week so tomorrow I am going to try to finish up some Christmas gift projects and get some things wrapped. I am hoping to be done with all my buying, making and wrapping by the first of December. I would like to be able to relax and do fun stuff with Payton during December. Well I guess that will be all for tonight, I am really tired. Maybe if I go lay in bed "someone" will stop kicking me, I really think we have a football or soccer player here or at least "it's" a wiggle worm like it's mother was.

Christmas Photo Shoot...

Shawna wanted me to take the kids Christmas pictures. And so here are a few of good ones, it is a job getting both kids to look at you at the same time and Smile. I am not claiming to be any great photographer, if anyone has advice on how to make these photos or the next ones I take better I will gladly listen to your advice.

On a different note Shari asked what I used to make the letters on my canvas to I will answer her question. I used Provo Craft Adhesive Backed Vinyl, which I found at Wal-Mart but I know Hobby Lobby has it. The vinyl comes in many colors and the price is pretty reasonable. I then used my Cricut machine to cut out the letters. If any of you do a lot of crafting or scrapbooking a Cricut is a very good investment, it save a ton of time cutting out shapes and letters. Hope this answers you question, if anyone else has questions about my projects feel free to ask.

Finished Object Friday.

Here is my finished object this Friday. I made these altered canvas for my Mimi Norwood and Aunt Adonna for their Christmas gifts. The ideas were not original, I got my inspiration from Shari, she really does some neat crafty things. Her canvas is at the bottom of the page.
Check out the other finished objects for this week over at the Chari Tree.

Happy 4th Anniversary to us.

Time sure flies when you are married to the most wonderful man in the world. I still cannot believe that it has been 4 years since we said I do. We have been through many things together, good and bad but through it all God has been with us. I love you Eric, Forever and Always.

Look how skinny I was.

The trip to Branson...

Well I am back for my Girls Getaway trip to Branson, Mo. We had a great time and did lots of shopping. I had a good visit with my Uncle Philo, Aunt Renee and their little girl Jasmine on Tuesday night and then on to Branson Wednesday morning. Mimi was surprised to see me. We shopped Wednesday morning and then headed to Silver Dollar City for the afternoon and evening, we had a lot of fun looking in all the neat shops and seeing the hundreds upon hundreds of Christmas lights. Click Here to see more pictures.

Did we buy enough? This was just a few of the packages.

Thursday we got up not so bright and early. We had been woke up around two in the morning by the tornado siren and so we kept an eye on the weather until it was safe for us to go back to bed, so needless to say we were a little sleepy the next morning. But we set off for more shopping anyway. That night we met Uncle Philo and his family for supper at the Branson Landing and then we went to the Shepherd of the Hills Trail of Lights together. We had a wonderful time being together.

Thanks for letting me come along.

Trying out the new camera

Yesterday I went to the field and rode with Eric in the grain truck for a couple of hours. It was nice to be with him for awhile, he has not been coming home until around four in the morning and leaving again by eight. So needless to say our time together has been nearly nothing.
We had fun trying out our new camera, it takes great pictures and videos.
Working hard or just holding up the shovel?
Unloading the beans.

Just a little clip of what you would see in the field if you were to come and visit us. Merlin(Eric's Dad) is driving the combine and Grandad Miller is driving the tractor. Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday. I am going to really enjoy spending the entire day with my husband.
