Happy New Year from the Farm!

Here's wishing everyone a Happy and Blessed New Year. We are spending our New Years Eve at home, eating snacks and playing games together. Eric wanted me to show you what the farm got for Christmas, a new 4-wheel drive tractor. Well now that I have done my duty of showing you the new tractor, I wish everyone a Happy New Year!

Day's of Christmas...Day 23

All I want for Christmas is a Four Wheel drive. I went to town this afternoon to get a prescription and pick up my last Christmas gift and wouldn't you know I made it to town (the highway was clear) but I got stuck in my own yard. I came into the driveway very slowly but the car did not want to turn, and so here he sits in a rut. My husband sounded very thrilled when I told him.
I had a Dr. appointment today I am 34 weeks and everything is looking good. They said if I would go into labor now the baby would be fine and they would not try to stop it. I would like it to get closer to the due date though, I am not ready just yet.

Day's of Christmas...Day 22

Today we let Payton open her present, she was so excited about her new doll. All

day she thanked me for it, I love giving a gift that makes someone so happy. As she was walking around hugging the doll she told me "she(the doll) always wanted a mother like Patie(Payton) mother." We gave Keegan a present too, but he was more interested in watching Payton then opening it himself.

Day's of Christmas...Day 21

Christmas Photo Shoot, one of my favorites.
Patiently awaiting the arrival of Christmas and our little miracle

Late again...

Well I am a day late once again in getting the Day's of Christmas picture posted. I have a very good excuse this time, my husband has the camera. I was planning on posting this afternoon but he asked to take the camera with him to work. He wanted to take some pictures of the ice roads(gravel roads), he says he could ice skate from the corner of *Glasgow Rd to the shop if he had a pair of skates. We have had quite the weather this last few weeks, yesterday the temp did not get above one degree and the wind was blowing about 25 Mph. BRRR!!! Well they say we are going to be getting more snow and ice tomorrow, pray that it does not come till late in the afternoon, I have a Dr. appointment in the town about 45 minutes away. They already canceled my appointment for last week, so I probably should go this week. Well enough rambling for one evening, I will try to get the pictures posted sometime tonight.

*Road names included for some who have been here, if you would like to know where I am talking about Please come and visit.

Day's of Christmas...Day 19

I put this sled decoration together today, I know it's a little late but Eric kept forgetting the sled at work. The sled was Eric's Granny Millers and her sisters when they were little.
I cut the evergreen from the tree's in our backyard, they were so covered with ice that I had to hang them in the bathtub to thaw out. Well I guess that's all for today, got to get ready for program practice. FUN!

Finished Object Friday

Wow, it hard to believe it Friday again, just think by this time next week Christmas will be over. These tiny hair bows are my finished object for the week, I actually have lots of finished objects but I can't post them until after Christmas. I made these bows for Dustin & Jessica's little girl Jordin, we will be having Christmas with them on Tuesday so I hope to get a picture with one in her hair. These were super easy to make and fun, I used some of the instructions from this site Girly Things. Go on over to Chari's blog to see more finished objects, the purse cake she made this week is adorable.

Day's of Christmas...Day 16

This is the tree in the basement, very patriotic and "guyish"(new word), it has Eric's Craftsmen and tractor ornaments on it. Come visit the snow is beautiful, we got quite a few inches today.

Day's of Christmas...Day 15

Holiday baking is what I have been doing. Our last prenatal class was canceled last night so I spent the evening making goodies, I am making things to take to some people in town. We are going take this cute box full of goodies to the lady that always helps me at the bank, the other people we are going to take things to are the firemen, the guy's at the parts store and the hired hand at the farm. I have enjoyed making everything and still have a little bit to finished up before they are ready to go.l

Day's of Christmas...Day 14

Well I am a day late and dollar short but at least I got a picture for the 14th. Yesterday we went to our prenatal classes again and then to church to hear the BMI choir, they did a real nice job. I made this Christmas tree veggie pizza as to contribute to the snacks for after the service. It must have been good because it was all gone.

Here is a 33 week picture of Mommy Missy. I am getting very ready for the time to be here when we can meet our baby. We have our last prenatal class tonight, we get to tour the maternity ward. I would recommend taking prenatal classes to anyone who is having a baby for the first time, they are very informative and answer a lot of questions. Well got to go make cookies with Payton, Yummy!

Day's of Christmas...Day 12

Woohoo! My Christmas packages are mailed and I only had to stand
in line a couple of minutes, I even got a front row parking space.
I am feeling lucky today. OK, I know it is a silly thing to be excited
about but I have stood in very long lines to mail packages before, so I was
very thankful. Now I better close and get something done before we have to
head for Des Moines, as part of our Christmas my in-laws are taking us
to see Mannheim Steamroller. We are going to do a little shopping and eat at
a Japanese Restaurant before we go. I am sure we will have a great time.

Day's of Christmas...Day 10

I am posting a picture from our anniversary trip as the picture of the day. Sorry no photo of today's activities, I have been cleaning the basement and also have not been feeling the greatest. I had a headache all day yesterday and the night before, thankfully it has gone away but it did leave me feeling blah. Hopefully only about eight more weeks of pregnancy related blah's left.

Day's of Christmas...Day 9

"I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas."
Well I don't know if it will be around for Christmas but this is the view from my front door,
this is just snow from today, yesterday it got warm enough and melted everything we had on the ground. It is beautiful when your inside looking out at it coming down but we have our church dinner to go to later, I can't say I am looking forward to driving it this. Oh well, my husband is a good driver and want take any chances, thank the Lord my husband doesn't think he is superman.

Day's of Christmas...Day 8

Well I got behind on my day's of Christmas but I do have an excuse Prenatal Classes. Sunday afternoon we went to our first class and then back again last night and again next Sunday and Monday. They usually spread it out over a whole month but with the holiday's they are cramming it all into four sessions. We are glad we decided to attend, we have learned many things already. I really meant to have the picture posted first thing this morning but I did not sleep very much last night because of a headache, I did not get around to my photo duties. Well this little Mama better get off the computer and get some lunch for Eric and then get my dishes made for our Church supper tonight. Hopefully we make it there it rained yesterday evening and during the night and then the temp has dropped, so we now have ice and it it supposed to snow this afternoon.

Day's of Christmas...Day 7

shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful,
Counsellor, The might God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Day's of Christmas...Day 6

Just a day late on day 6 but I don't think anyone will mind. We had a great time on our trip, shopping, eating, trying to stay warm in the freezing weather and just spending time together. Here is just one picture of the many that I took, I will be posting about them later. This is one huge rocker, I think you could rock quite a few babies in it.

Taking a Trip...

I will not be posting a new picture for the 5th day of Christmas unless I double up on a day, we are going to be taking a little trip to the Amana Colonies. We are celebrating our 4th anniversary and also figured this might be the last time for quite a while that we get a trip by ourselves. I am sure I will have plenty of pictures and stories to share when I get back. Until then have a great first week of December. This photo is off the Amana Colonies website, it looked like this last year at this time. We are supposed to get more snow today so it might look like this when we go. How Pretty!

Day's of Christmas...Day 2

Day's of Christmas...Day 1

Merry Christmas from the Millers. I am going to be putting up a photo everyday until the 25th of December, so check back often to see what is going on at the Miller house this Christmas season. It would be fun if some of you would do the same, I know some of you take great photo's.

Our weekend...

Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow! This is what we woke up to on Sunday morning, it snowed all day but did not stick much because it was about 35 degrees. There was no chance of it melting today it has not gotten above 25 degrees. Don't any of you southerners want to come and visit?

Here I am in my coat that want button. Hope baby does not get cold.
Looking out our back window.

Having a little family time Saturday night, we had fun playing the "Farming Game" sitting by our Christmas tree.

More of Thanksgiving Day...

A few more Thanksgiving pictures.
Daddy & Mommy to-be!
This is Granny(Merna)Miller's sister Doris and her husband Bill, they live in a town very close to us and used to come for holiday dinners. But Doris is getting Alzheimer's and has fallen so they were not able to come, so several of us went over Thanksgiving afternoon and visited them in the care facility where they live. They really enjoyed seeing everyone especially Colter.

Colter's first Thanksgiving. He really does like Aunt Melissa he just do not smile for the camera, I could get him to "talk" and grin for me any other time. Hope you enjoyed a peek into our day.

A Wonderful Thanksgiving...

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with some of our family here in Iowa. We ate dinner at Merlin & Kim's house and so much yummy food, I was stuffed and I looked like it. Here is a few pictures from our day, sorry they got out of order.

Serving up all the great food.
More food and family.

Sparkling Grape Juice, to complete our Thanksgiving Breakfast.

Thanksgiving Greeting from Payton...Enjoy

Getting ready for Turkey Day

Well the guys around here are getting ready for the big feasting day, they are finishing harvest today. They set a goal to be done by today and as Merlin put it "if the sky doesn't fall down" they will be done. I am so happy, it will be nice to have my husband home earlier than 3 in the morning.
The kids had not ridden in the combine yet so we went and rode for a while this morning. They both enjoyed it. Keegan thought it was so fun he eventually went to sleep.
Merlin in the combine and Grandad in the auger wagon.
Eric being the harvest elf.

My big helper! Payton help me mash the sweet potatoes this morning for the casserole. I am so thankful for all the many blessings the Lord has given to me, a wonderful husband, a baby coming before we know it, the greatest family on earth and my sweet little Payton and Keegan. The list could go on and on but I will end by saying that I am thankful for each one of my friends old and new alike. I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day.

30 Weeks and counting...

Here is a report from Mommy-Missy. I went to the Dr. on Friday and measured 30cm and little ones heartbeat was 136. The Dr. said everything is looking good and right on schedule. I also took the sugar test, where they test for Gestational Diabetes. Everything came back fine on the test, Thank the Lord. I now have to go the the Dr. every two week instead of once a month so I guess that means I am getting a little closer to meeting our bundle of Joy.
Am I getting as big as a snowman?

Finished Object Friday

Well Finished Object Friday is here again. This week I made some paint filled glass balls for the white Christmas tree in the office/scrapbooking room. I made some of these last year and loved them so I made a few for this tree, I was not finding anything to match the color scheme of the room so I made my own. Go on over to Chari's blog for more Finished Object Friday projects and you can find the information for making these ornaments here on her blog also, just scroll down the page and you will find two post about them.
Pink & Green is the thing.
