Our Christmas Gifts

Blake Levi just could not wait to find out what Christmas was all about,  so he arrived a little after 8am Christmas Day.   Brenna Joy decided if brother was finding out about Christmas she would also. Both Mommy and babies are doing pretty good.  Babies are having a little support breathing and tube feeding right now but are doing very good for only being 34 weeks,  both weighed right at 5lbs and are about 17 inches long.  Prayers for then are very much appreciated.

Day 24 of Christmas

Christmas Eve was spent with Nana and Grandpa Miller,  they are the most wonderful inlaws.  Miss Piper was very excited about her gift from them,  Bitty Baby Twins.

Day 23 of Christmas

Singing in the program, not a very good picture but mics and music stands were in the way.

Day 22 of Christmas

Piper was pretty happy with the contents of her stocking.

Days 19, 20 & 21

Due to internet problems I am just now able to post our past few days.  Wednesday evening Eric had  a meeting so Piper and I did puzzles,  I think she had almost everyone of her puzzles done by the time I got the border done on mine.
Thursday we awoke to a white world.  With her blanket and messy bed head Piper had to check out the snow.  It was not a beautiful snow fall, it was more like blizzard conditions with whiteouts and 30-50 mile an hour winds.
I did manage to lean out the front door and grab this shot,  pretty.
Today the wind died down and so Piper got bundled up and went out to play for awhile.  I would like to go play with her but my husband has told me not to go out, he does not want me to fall and I don't want to either.   Hope you all are doing well and all your Christmas activities are going just as planned.

Day 18 of Christmas

The "Nativity Scene"  according to Piper.  I just love to watch and listen to her reenact the story of Baby Jesus,  it is the sweetest thing ever.  If you look on the left side of the picture you can see the Wisemen sleeping,  I guess they are worn out from their long journey.  The Wisemen set only came with one small tent and so Piper got out the tent to her camping set and now they all can sleep in cozy tents.

Day 15, 16 & 17 of Christmas

Well better late then never, right?    Day 15, Saturday, Piper got a new book, can you guess what it was?
Sunday I did not get any pictures, so I pulled this one out of the files.  I woke up not feeling well and having contractions, which did not let up and so Eric and I ended up in labor and delivery for awhile.  I am doing better now, they let me come home and now I am hoping to make it a few weeks longer.   I had a checkup today and babies are weighing about 4lb 13oz apiece and looking great.  Thank you so much for all your prayers, that is what has been getting us through.
Day 17,  Lucas is wanting Miss Piper to have good breath.  :)

Looking at Christmas with our sweet baby girl.

Day 13 of Christmas

Our Christmas Bucket List,  I think we may actually get everything done except for the sledding.  So far we have had a mild pre-winter and not a single flurry,  which Piper is very concerned about.    I am afraid it is going to just open up and dump snow on us in January when I have to go over an hour away to the Dr.,  that would just be my luck.  :)

Day's 10, 11 & 12

Piper's count down bag said to make cookies, so that is just what we did.   Yummy!

I am running a little behind in posting my pictures but I think I have a pretty good excuse,  "I am expecting twins in about 4 to 5 weeks, I have a 3 1/2 year old and I am trying to get everything ready for my husbands business to fill their taxes."   Yes, I am tired!
Making more cookies,  I decided we were making memories not messes.
A box of Christmas goodies for the mailman.  Hope he enjoyed them.

Christmas Day 7, 8 & 9

WooHoo, our internet seems to be working again.  So back to our days of Christmas post.
Friday night we had Payton and Keagan spend the night,  Piper was one excited little girl,  she loves having them come over.  Here the girls are looking at the book and listening to "The Polar Express."

On Saturday we took the three kids to a live animal Christmas play in a town near by.  They loved the fact that this BIG camel walked right by our seats.  They seemed to enjoy the play very much.  Well Piper loved all but the part about King Herod,  it was a little scary for her.
Sunday day 9 was a busy day and on top of it I did not feel well.  So the only picture I took was Lucas the Elf hanging on the mistletoe waiting for someone to kiss him.

Delayed posting

Sorry for no blog post the last few days,  our Internet has decided to go on the blink.   I am using Eric's iPad to post this. But I am unable to post pictures at this time.   I am taking daily pictures and hope to have them up in a day or so, or as soon as the company gets the problem resolved.    So don't forget about me,  I will be back.    Until then Merry Christmas to all.

Day 6 of Christmas

Miss Piper's letter to Santa.  Mommy only coaxed her a little bit,  she is only three and has no clue what to ask or say in a letter.  Don't know why she wants the reindeer to come down the chimney!

Day 5 of Christmas

Christmas Day 4

Loving my "new" wooden box,  I am using it to hold Piper's countdown packages.   I also love the burlap ribbon I found, it adds just the right touch.
Eric came home the other day and told me he had a wooden box for me,  he was cleaning out a shed and found it full of bolts.  He told the guy he was working with "I think my wife would like that."  I love that man!

Christmas Day 2 & 3

Sunday for Piper's countdown to Christmas goodie she got the three wisemen to her Little People Nativity,  she was thrilled.  This year instead of a bunch of little goodies in her stocking I am doing a few larger items in her countdown bags,  we will see how this works out.
Day three found Lucas the Elf reading "The Night Before Christmas"  to all the PEZ dispensers.    Who knows what he will be doing next.

3 + 2 = 5

We are so happy to announce that we will be having a boy and a girl join our household in the winter of 2013.  So far Mommy and babies are doing great and Mommy can definitely tell they are gaining weight.  I go to the Dr. Monday for my 25 week appointment, I am sure I will have an update of their growth then.  But until then enjoy these photos and keep us in your prayers, it is so important that I keep them growing until at least 34 weeks.
The Big Sister is very happy.

Love her!

Nothing real important to post about just wanted to say that I love my little girl.  Expecting two more babies makes me wonder how I can love them as much as I love my first born,  now don't get me wrong I want the babies and know that I will love them all very much.  But having loved one child for 3 1/2 years and now that my love will be shared between three is sometimes overwhelming.   I know that once they arrive I will love all of them with a love only a mother can know.  Makes me think of how Jesus loves each and everyone of us,  there are millions of people in the world but He love me just as if I was his only child.  What an awsome LOVE.

Comparison

 17,18 weeks with the twins.
I did a fun comparison picture wearing the same outfit when I was pregnant with Piper and now with the twins.  Wow, you can defiantly see a difference.  The above picture is around 17,18 weeks and the picture below is around 16 weeks, so very close.
16 weeks with Piper.
A fun fact for those of you who do not know but Miss Piper's actual due date was February 2( she came a week early) and the twins actual due date is February 3.  Can you say kinda crazy, we really were hoping to have a summer baby sometime but God was in control and we will not question His timing or plan but just be thankful that He is allowing us to be parents once again.

Piper's Big Girl Room

Kind of a sad time for Mommy(my baby is growing up) but Miss Piper is loving it.  My Mom was here to visit a few weeks ago and we moved Piper into the spare room so the babies can have her old room.  We changed the comforter to something very girly and fun (Target) and found the perfect accessories at Hobby Lobby.
She is enjoying the big bed,  when we told her she would be getting a new room with a big bed she said "Good now all my animals will not fall out."  I guess toddler beds are not made to hold 101(give or take a few) stuffed animals.   She is also enjoying having space for her child size Graco pack & play and swing, we got these pieces from her cousin, it is amazing how much they are like the real thing.
The reading nook,  Piper will spend great amounts of time sitting in her bean bag reading books and listening to tapes.  She also loves her flower night light,  I love the fact that is matches the room so well and does not look like your ordinary night light(Ikea).
And lastly the toy box filled to the brim with dress up/princess clothes, shoes and accessories.
Well I hope you have enjoyed seeing Pipers room, I was about to get in trouble by family members for not posting pictures yet.

Piper the Sheepdog

My Dad has been after me to update the blog with picture of his Sheepdog.  Piper never wants her hair combed and so Grumpy named her sheepdog because of the look you see above and below.
So here you go Dad a few pictures of your sheepdog.
She is also a princess who loves corn on the cob,  go to love my little girl.

*Update on Mommy and babies,  we are doing pretty good,  I have been feeling much better.  A few headaches and being overly tired are the main symptoms now (and having cravings for food we do not have in the house or in our small town.)  Monday August 20th we go see the Dr again and have an other ultrasound,  can't wait to see the little ones again.  And to make it even better my Mom will be with me,  that will make it very special.

Minnesota Vacation

Our first stop was the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA.  I am sure most of you are familiar with the song about this church, well it was my Grandad Norwoods favorite song and we had it played at out wedding in memory of him.  So naturally we had to stop and take a look at the church especially since it was not even out of the way.  And now we will continue with our time in MN,  Enjoy!
We had lunch at the American Doll store in the Mall of America,  such a neat experience, not real cheap but worth it for the fun my little girl had.
Piper loves Dora and so meeting Dora was the highlight of her trip, she is now  convinced Dora is REAL.
Loved visiting this place, fun stores, amusement park and don't forget lots of yummy food.
Just a piece of interesting art.
Just a cool old Mill, now turned museum.

Hope you enjoyed the peek at out vacation photo's,  we had a great time and made some good memories.
