The Artist...

Payton wanted to use markers yesterday, this is the result. I think some ink did get on the paper, but I don't know how much. She loves to draw and is always wanting me to draw things for her(like baby octopus) who does she think I am.

Eric old work shirt made a great smock. Thanks Eric for letting us use it.
Conversation with Payton, yesterday at while we were eating lunch Payton was being naughty, not eating her food and such. So being the good babysitter I am I got onto her, she then said she was mad and then sad. Well this went on for a few minutes until I told her she was really going to get in trouble, she then starts saying "It was a joke, I was just joking." Needless to say it is very hard to get on to her when she says things like that and when Eric is sitting there laughing. She sure keeps things lively around here.

Games with the Grandparents

Last night we went to Granny and Grandad's for supper and played games. We had a good time and I even won a few rounds. It was great, I did not have to cook supper.

Staying at home...

We had another snow storm last night so Kim and I were not able to go to the Quad Cities for Jessica's baby shower. I spent the day not doing much of anything but I did get one scrapbook page done. At the rate I am going we will be married ten years before I get it all done. Oh well, I guess all that matters it that I get it done.

Juniors Party

Well we survived the party. The kids seemed to have a good time eating pizza and cupcakes and playing games. Thanks to Eric for helping me cook the pizza and play the games. Eric helped by putting the pizza's in the oven, what I did not know until I tried to cut the pizza was that he forgot to take the cardboard off the bottom of two pizza's, the pizza was fine and the kids got a good laugh from it.

They really enjoyed playing hot potato.
Chowing down on the food.

I love a sale...

I just love it when Hobby Lobby has a sale on something I want. Yesterday I went to Burlington(which is about 45 min away), Hobby Lobby had several kinds of yarn on sale for 99 cents.

The black yarn was already on clearance, so I got it to make a scarf to go with my red coat. I just loved the green yarn I am thinking of making a purse out of it, the regular price on it is $5.88 but I got it for 99 cents. What a deal! The variegated yarn I am going to use to make some more baby things, I hope one of my friends has a boy, I have some great ideas for this. I also got this at 40% off by using a coupon. I think I did pretty good, got a lot of stuff for not a lot of money.

Some of the Easter item were on sale and this little bunny just "Hopped" into my buggy and said "take my home", so I did.

Well I am off to get my house ready for a Junior party I am having to night. 7 excited kids, what fun! I've got to make cupcakes and get the games ready and keep Payton out of trouble.

Thanks to all who had responded to who you are, I am glad to have all of you on board this blog. To Kim, I gave my MIL your email address. To Julie, thanks for stopping by and you really should start you own blog, we would love to keep up on your life.

Table Makeover

The "small thing" for the day for "Company Girls" was to put a new centerpiece on the table. I am getting the winter blues, so I thought I would cheer things up around here by putting my pretty tablecloth and an arrangement of geraniums on the table. While I was doing that I also put some "vegetables" in the bowl stand on the teacart. I am glad I did it , the kitchen sure looks more cheerful. Now I should work on the rest of the house.

Who are you?

If you have not noticed I have a new tool on the lower right side of this blog. This tool shows me what city and state people are from that visit my blog. I would love to hear from those of you who stop by to look at my blog, maybe I know you or maybe I can make a new friend. Please post a comment and let me know who you are and where you are from.

Knitting for baby...

Here is the finished burp cloth and bib for Jessica Dodd's baby shower. I found a pattern for a flower and thought it would be a nice touch for the burb cloth, goes good with the button on the bib(a little flower). In my opinion they turned out very cute, I am really enjoying teaching myself how to knit. Guess you'll have to wait and see what I creat next.

Going "towing"

I thought ya'll might enjoy this clip of Payton "towing" as she calls it. Sorry there is not sound but our camera does not include that feature. I thought it was cute anyway, I barely got the video she was going to fast. The faster the better for her.

Happy Presidents Day

Let us take sometime today to pray for our president, that God will help him and give him strength to lead our nation. His job is one I do not envy.
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I know I did, I did not do much of anything Saturday except knit and hang a shelf. It was so nice to just take a day and relax. But I know I will have to get back to work this week since I will have Payton most of the week. I finished knitting the burp cloth and bib, I just need to get a button for the bib and it will be completed. They both turned out really nice, will post pics later. Sunday it rained some and then when we were at church it began snowing, it snow all afternoon and the wind was blowing very hard. So church was canceled and so we went over to Mom & Dad Millers and had supper with them and Aaron & Ashely(Eric's sister & brother in-law). We had a good time and a relaxing afternoon.

The happenings...

Well to tell you not much has been happening aroung here. Payton and I stayed home did laundry, made a treat for Eric and sat around being lazy. I was not too lazy though, after Payton left I did go work out and finished the inventory at the shop. This is the latest knitting project I am working on a baby burp cloth. I am hoping to have enough yarn to make a bib but I guess I won't know till I am done with the other.

Yesterday I made Eric dipped strawberries. They are called "Dipped Cream Cheese Strawberries." You put a layer of cheese cake like filling on the strawberry let it harden and then dip in chocolate. He thought they were wonderful. I also made a heart shaped Taco pizza, that was really good. I will have to find something really cool to do for Valentines, any ideas?

Working at the shop

This is how I spent my Saturday. Doing inventory for SouthEast Iowa Diesel. It is a dirty job, I guess the maid does not get upstairs to clean. :) Well anyway I got some of it done and should have no trouble finishing the rest tonight. Other than that our weekend was pretty boring and cold, it did not get above 3 degrees yesterday. I am ready to move south. Mom do you have a room I can stay in?

Here is Eric latest project, he wanted me to be sure I took a picture and posted it. This is their personal tractor and Eric is doing some tune up, as you can see. I don't know how he knows where every piece goes, it just looks like a mess to me. Well I better go get ready for storytime.

Looking better...

Look at the mess. Yesterday we decided to use a bookcase that my parents gave us, since I have not found the one I want for my office/scraproom. So then began the task of organizing and deciding what stuff went in which basket. (Thanks to my mother inlaw for the baskets.) Anyway I worked on it all afternoon and evening(chuch was cancelled because of the weather).
This is the top shelf, my Cricut cartridges and makers are in this basket.
Here are the other two shelves the bigger basket is full of ribbon and the others are filled with little stuff, paper clips, brads and such. I think it is coming together nicely. I will post more pictures when I get the rest of the room done.

Here it is...

On Saturday I showed a project that I was going to try, well I got them done yesterday. I am going to hang them in my scrapbook room with the words "Just" above them but I have to get the vinyl to make the other word. So tell me what you think, I think they look really fun and girly. Just the way we like things.
Well I guess I will see what else I can do today. Payton left early because we are having a winter storm, it is snowing like crazy.

It is finished...

Here are pictures of each letter and what each one
of them says. I think they turned out so cute.
Inspire
Dream
Memories-Friends are forever
Believe
I love you- Imagine

Saturday's doings...

Can you believe it, my husband actually took most of the day off to go to used stores looking for a bookcase. I was so glad he went with me, although we did not find a bookcase. We did get him some work shirts and I found a Red purse. I also got somethings at Hobby Lobby to decorate my scrapbook room, now if I could find a bookcase we would be all set. Here is a little project I am going to attempt. I am showing you the before picture and when I get them done I will take another picture and let you see what you think about my creative abilities.

This is a cute plate that was 40% off, so I thought it would look good in the "new" room.

Double Trouble

TROUBLE
Payton and Cameron

As you can tell by the picture I have been very busy the last two days. A one year old and a two year old can keep things interesting, especially when the little girl is not used to having to share "Her Lissa." The little boy's name is Cameron, his regular sitter had jury duty, so I was asked to watch him. I kept him for a few days back in the summer when his sitter was busy, he is a very good kid, so I can't complain. Payton had quite the time "trying" to keep her toys away from him, I can see we are going to have fun when her new little brother arrives. When I was getting lunch ready today Cameron was very impatient, so he was hollering, I told him to be quite and that we didn't need to do that. Payton then look over at him and said "We talk." I guess she thought he should ask for his lunch not holler. Well anyway I guess I better go vaccum my house and then I think I will take the night off. I think I deserve it.
