Little bit of life...

Just a few pictures of what has been going on here. Eric left me a message on my chalk board, Of course I thought it was very sweet.
I went to my first estate auction last Saturday, they had lots of junk and a few "treasures."
Piper playing with someones puppy at the auction. I am trying to convince Eric that we need one.

Sleeping is always better if you have your baby doll.
I hope everyone has a great Easter weekend and don't forget why we have Easter. Thank You God for giving your Son, because of it we can live forever.

Spring is coming

We are finally getting a few glimpses of spring here in the farm country of Iowa. Warmer days, more sunshine and flowers, what more could I ask for.
Miss Piper has decided outside is a great place to be, she never wants to come inside now.

Don't drink and stroll.

Checking out the rocks.

This is her "I love Smarties" face.
In case you have forgotten Easter is right around the corner, I can't wait. We are going to visit some friends for Easter weekend, I know we will have a great time. And another plus, I get to use my Vera Bradley duffel bags my Mother inlaw gave me for my birthday.

Curly Top or not...

Grumpy, here are a few pictures of your Miss Piper, sorry you did not approve of the bedroom post. I will try to post more pictures of your little sweety.
I decided to try curling Pipers hair on Saturday, good thing I did not try if for Sunday. Well she did was pretty good letting me put the rollers in but seventeen rollers on a little head of hair is a little much.
The end result: I think she looks like one of those old ladies with a perm that is rolled tight against their head.
Needless to say we will just be curling the ends for a while. She looked a little strange.
Couldn't resist throwing this pic on here, we all wore black and white to church yesterday. I sure love my little family.

My bedroom...Finished Object

I am loving my finished object, my bedroom is finally looking the way I want it. My sweet husband let me order the quilt for my birthday, he thought this was great cause he did not have to shop. So when my Mom was here we set to work redecorating and spray painting. I wanted a small table for Eric's side of the bed but all the ones I looked at were out of my price range until we went to the Goodwill and found this one for $12.99. Now let me tell you it was not the most beautiful thing you have ever laid eyes on but I knew a good coat of spray paint would make it work and now I have the perfect side table. The shelf on the wall also go a good coat of paint, it is amazing how it changes the looks of stuff.
I found this wonderful little tea for one pot for next to nothing and knew it would look great in my room. I decided Eric's catch all box need updating and so off to the paint station it went, looks great now.
After a trip to Joann's and Hobby Lobby the room is almost complete. Don't you just love the bouquet of flowers, they don't need watered, Yeah. Well I hope all of you enjoyed my finished object this week, I know I sure am. For more great finished objects stop by the Chari Tree.

Modgies Visit

We had an absolutely wonderful time with my Mom here. Miss Piper loves her Modge very much and sure misses her. The weather cooperated and we had several very pretty days, we were able to take Miss Piper outside and let her play.
I think she was getting a little sleepy, she walked almost all the way around the town square. That's a lot of "little" steps.
Here she is in the cute jumper and t-shirt Aunt Adonna got her for a get well gift.
Looking very cute despite the discolored eye. Someone needed to teach her how to apply her makeup.

Kick back and relax.

Nose!

Modge and her sweetheart.

Enjoying her swing. Don't you love the boots.
Thank You Mom for coming, we sure loved having you and hope you come again and bring Grumpy.

Hospital Visit

*Warning very picture heavy post! We had to leave our house at 5:30 Monday morning and head to Iowa City for Miss Piper's eye surgery. She did great and slept most of the way there.
She thought it was all a great adventure to go some where with Mom, Dad and two Grandma's.

In the children's waiting room, she loves fish.

Playing with toys in her "too big" jammies.

Sporting her first tattoo, it is the intern's initials, so they operate on the right place.

Sorry got this one on here twice. She is cute though.

Mommy and Piper getting ready to go back and be put to sleep.

In recovery... finally calmed down.
Back home and doing great. Thank You everyone for your prayers, the surgery went well and we were home in a few hours. Piper is doing great, the swelling is minimal and she has not messed with the stitches. Thanks again for all your thoughts and prayers.

Prayers...

Prayer's for Miss Piper please. Piper is supposed to have surgery to remove the cyst above her right eye, it is scheduled for 8am Monday. Piper now has a cold but we are trusting God to touch her so the surgery can go on. Thanks everyone for your prayers for Miss Piper.
