One month old

I can't believe it, my baby is one month old. She is such a sweetheart and I never could have imagined the joy she has brought into our lives. I thank God for giving us such a beautiful baby girl, she is truly a gift from heaven.
Miss Piper: one month old
Little Miss Piper: Just minutes old.

Finished Object Friday

Here is a project I did for Payton awhile back. I made a loopy hair bow, I used a wired white ribbon and put the dotted ribbon on top. Wired ribbon is great if you really want the bow to keep it's shape.
I also did a t-shirt for her. I found this cute cupcake transfer at Wal-Mart, in the craft section. It was real easy to put on. I sewed bows on the sleeves, these were made from the same dotted ribbon as the hair bow.
I thought it turned out pretty cute, now I need to make something for Piper. Payton loved her shirt, she kept thanking me for her beautiful shirt.
For more finished objects go on over to the Charitree for more neat projects.

Tiger in Training

Mommy and Piper all dressed up in their Purple & Gold.
I am going to grow up to be an LSU fan just like my Grumpy and Unk Matt.
Geaux Tigers.

What better place to have LSU written then across a little baby bottom.

Pretty in Pink

I can't believe it my baby is already three weeks old, how time flies when you having fun. She has grown so much in three weeks, she is staying awake for longer periods of time and she went up a diaper size. I am so thankful to have a good baby, she is hardly ever fussy and for that Mommy is glad. I have started a scrapbook for her, I have three pages done so far, just hope I can keep up with it and not get too far behind. I will post pictures of that at a later date.
This is the bassinet she sleeps and "plays" in in the office/scraproom while
Mommy tries to get some pages done.
I love this jumper. Thank You Sonia, she looks so cute in it.

This is for Unk Matt, he got this for her. She is going to be a little Tiger fan.

So Pretty in the gown that Aunt Adonna got me. Thank You Aunt Adonna.
Well I better go and get somethings done around the house before she wakes up.

Pictures for all my fan's...

Here are a few new pictures of Piper for all her adoring fans. She is such a wonderful baby, I love her so much and can't believe she will be three weeks old tomorrow. She is so content, she sleeps at least 6 to 6 1/2 hours at night only gets up once to eat; her Mommy and Daddy are so happy they get a good nights sleep.
I love to smile!
A face only a Mother could love. I don't think she like the headband from
Aunt Heidi, her Mommy does though.

Look at my cute dress from Auntie Chari, I look adorable in it.

I am thinking about crying, Mommy takes too many pictures.
Well I hope you enjoyed the picture update, will have more later.

The birth of Piper Jaylin...

Things have finally slowed down a little and I have a few minutes to tell about Piper's birth. It all began Sunday night January 25, I had a terrible stomach ache all night and kept waking about every hour, by Monday morning I had the stomach ache and very bad back pain. I never thought about it being back labor so I went to Mt. Pleasant (25 miles away) to pick up my new glasses, I called my Mom when I was headed over there and told her how I was feeling, she informed me I was probably having back labor, to make a long story short I went ahead and did my shopping and got my glasses at Wal-Mart and then headed home. Once I was home I was having a few more labor "symptoms" and so I called the Doctor, they told me to come into the hospital to determine if it was real labor or false. So Eric came home and we loaded the bags in the car and I was in the hospital by 1:30pm, by that time I was having contractions about 7 minutes apart and they did not go away they got closer together. By 11:00pm I was dilated to a 4 and was told I was not going home. My Mom was on her way to spend time with Heidi B. in Jackson, Mo when all this started so she just came on to Iowa, she arrived around 11:00pm and I was so glad she was there. Thanks for being with me Mom, I love you. By 6:00am I was dilated to 10 and they had me start pushing, that lasted for almost 3 hours. Finally they decided to do a C-section, boy was I glad. The baby was face up and had her head turned, she did not want to come into the world. While I was in the operating room I made the heart monitor go crazy and they had to call in a heart doctor to check everything out, they decided the medicine must have cause the problem. So after all that crazy stuff I finally got to see my Beautiful baby girl Piper Jaylin. I am so thankful for her safe arrival and for such a good baby, she only gets up once in the night and hardly ever fusses. Well I guess that about covers the story of her entrance into the world.

Picture's of my sweet baby...

Piper and her first dolly that Modgie bought for her.
She did not want her picture taken, she wanted me to hold her.
Snug as a bug in a rug, wrapped in the blanket from Emily.
Thank You Emily for the blanket.
Trying out my new swing, I really like it.

Piper and her cousin Colter(4 1/2 months).

Grumpy holding his grand baby for the first time, it looks like
love at first sight.
Sorry I have not been updating very often but this has been a busy week, Dr appointments, my Dad, Mimi & Uncle Bill coming to visit and just the everyday things of having a new baby. Hopefully next week things will settle down a little bit and I will be able to post more. Well I need to go to bed tomorrow is a big day, Piper is going to be dedicated and them we will have 24 people at our house for lunch. Pictures to follow. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Piper's First Sunday...

Hi everyone, Here I am all dress up for my first church service. I was a very good girl and slept the entire service. I have been a very good girl so far, last night I ate and went to bed around 10:30pm and woke up at 2:30 am ate and went back to sleep and did not get up until 7:15 this morning. Mommy is praying that I do this all the time, she is happy to get some sleep. Well more about me later, Mommy will try to post some of the details of my birth later this next week. So check back for updates on Ms. Piper.
It doesn't look like my Mommy loves me does it?
Mommy & Daddy are giving their camera a good workout, but I don't mind.

One very happy family!

I love my Modge and she loves me too!
