Join in and make a difference...

Every year the Juniors class at church does a special project at Christmas time, sometimes it has been buying something for a missionary child or taking a name of the Angel Tree at the mall and buying gift for a child we did not even know. This year I decided to have them join in
Operation Christmas Child, it is done by Franklin Graham's foundation Samaritans purse. If anyone is wanting to do something good for a child or to help to your children learn it is better to give than to receive I urge you to join in this cause. All you do it fill a shoe box with small toys, school supplies and personal hygiene items and $7.oo to help cover shipping. I know some of you are thinking it is to early to start thinking about Christmas but it is never to early to start helping others. For more information about drop off locations and times or just more information follow the like highlighted above and click on the link Operation Christmas Child. It would be great to hear if anyone else is going to send a box, I will be posting pictures of the Juniors children and their boxes just as soon as they get them packed.

Hayride, Flowers & Payton...

Here are a few pictures of our annual church hayride. The weather was perfect this year, warm in the afternoon and then cooler when the sun went down. Some years have been absolutely miserable because of the cold.
Here is Eric trying his had at "burning" hotdogs. Not really, his didn't look very cooked at all.
Benjamin (our Pastors little boy) wanted to try bobbing for apples like the big kids.
Yesterday Eric and Payton went out to get the mail, when they came back they brought me these pretty yellow flowers. Thank You, I love both of you.
Does anyone need their car cleaned? Here is a pretty little girl to clean it for you. We went to the shop the other day and her car needed to be cleaned off before she could play in it. She of course had a great time cleaning it and riding all around.

Baby Bump Pictures

A while back I tried my hand at digital scrapbooking and posted a slide show which some of you said you could not view. Sorry about that I don't know what was going on. Well anyway I worked on some more pages and decided to post them this way so I know you will get to see them.
I had Eric take pictures of me a few Sunday's ago, he was having lots of fun taking pictures of the bump of "Baby Tummy" as Payton and now us call it. For not really enjoying taking pictures I thought he took some very cute shots. Thanks Sweetheart, I love you.
This is just a collage of pictures since we first found out that we had a baby in the oven. It is quite interesting to see "bump" get bigger every week.

I have really been growing the last couple of weeks and the baby is very active, loves to kick me anytime I sit down. Eric has been able to feel it move. I thank the Lord for helping everything to go smoothly so far. Well enough rambling I have work to do.

Kitchen Redo-My Finished Object

Well I told you earlier in the week that my Mom and I were redoing my kitchen, we had a great time doing it and I think it looks wonderful. I decided to make this my finished object for Chari's Finished Object Friday. Enjoy! Thank You Mom for all you had work. Here is just a sample of what the kitchen did look like.
We painted the walls "Split Pea Soup" green and changed the curtains and many other decorations.
Payton's little cabinet also got a coat of paint and some Humpty Dumpty doorknobs.
This picture is a little dark but I wanted to show the wall word I put above the stove. It looks really good against the green.

I hope you have enjoyed the redo, I know that I am. I need to go do laundry and get somethings ready for our annual hayride tonight. My Mom left this morning so it is going to be lonely around here. I sure did enjoy having you come and see me Mom and help with the kitchen. We also got the nursery all ready, will post pictures of that soon.

Mom and the kitchen redo...

I have been having too much fun to blog the last few days. First of all I am now an Aunt, Eric's sister Ashley had her baby boy at 5:49 am Thursday morning. His name is Colter Micah and he is a beautiful baby. Sorry no pictures I forgot the camera.
Second reason for not blogging is my Mom came on Tuesday and we have been going full speed ever since. Wednesday we babysat the kids and Payton had lots of fun with Junee.

Trying to take a nap.
And here is the other thing we have been doing repainting my kitchen. It had been just plain white and decorated in kinda of Retro stuff. I decided it was time for a change and I wanted a more "sophisticated" look, so we went and picked out paint "Split Pea Soup" the name is not a joke. We are almost done with the painting and then the redecorating will begin. I will post pictures as soon as all it looking in order again.
Just had to throw this cute picture of my kitten on here. I thought she looked real cute next to my new mums. Well hope everyone is having a great week and I will post more updates soon.

Baby & Me

I saw the neat digital scrapbooking that Brittney did so I decided to try me hand at it. These pages were fun to do. Eric and I went outside and took some pictures yesterday after church. I had no idea what kind of pictures he would take but he did a really good job and I have some neat photos to go in the baby's album.

Our week, so far...

Here are a couple of new pictures of the kiddo's. Not much has been going on here, Eric worked on Labor Day and I did next to nothing and loved every minute of it. It is a cool rainy day here, so I have to first pot of soup for the season going in the crockpot. I love not having to rush around getting supper ready, just dish it up and eat. We will be having a busy weekend, our pastor's birthday picnic Friday night and then a tractor pull on Saturday along with a parade and everything that goes with Stockport, Iowa's BBQ Days. I will try to take pictures of our day, I am sure we will have fun.

My two little sweethearts.
