Finished Object Friday~Advent Bags

 I have always thought Advent calendars were such a neat idea and now that we have a little one I knew I had to do one.  After much looking on Pintrest (very addicting), I used ideas I had found and added a little of my own creativity.  I cut burlap into the size bags I wanted and stitched them up, leaving the top open.

I then hung them on red ric-rac from the stair rail in our kitchen.  My husband walked in one night and said "they are too plain" and thus the embellishments.  They are so cute now!  Piper is enjoying opening them, so have treats inside, others have note with an activity we are going to do.

Joy's of Christmas - Day 1

Christmas Time is coming and we are getting very excited.  I am loving these burlap count down bags I made and of course Piper is too, since the treat inside are for her.

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.  I hope you all have a wonderful day where ever you may be.  Here in our house we have so many things to be thankful for, the list could take up a whole page.  God has been so good to us.    Once again I hope everyone has a great day and enjoys the company of family and friends.

NeeNee and Grumpy Time

 My parents came to visit and boy did we ever have a good time.  Piper has such fun playing with them and getting spoiled.

 Piper and Grumpy doing their own version of  "Jingle Bells."  I will have to post the video sometime.

 And of course the visit is not complete without a gift or two and so we now have Strawberry Shortcake residing at our house.

Thank you for coming to visit us Mom and Dad, we sure love you.  Thank you for all the things you do to help us out and for spoiling Miss Piper.

Christmas Photo Session

 I gave the new camera a good trial yesterday and I am happy to report I love it!  It was a beautiful 70 degree day, probably one of the last for this year.  So I dolled Piper up and away we went. 

 She did pretty good, especially with the promise of Dairy Cream ice cream afterward. 

 Considering she is 2 1/2 years old and it was Mom taking the pictures I think we got some good shots.  BTW these are just a Few of them, so glad for digital. 

 This is a regular Piper look, when she wants something or is questioning you, this is the look you get. 

Well I am off to get things cleaned up around here, my parents are coming in this weekend and we are getting very excited.  Good fun, good eats and Christmas decorating.
