Spring has sprung...

My nephew came for a visit, so of course we had to take some pictures of these cousins together.
Two five year old, they are only four months apart.
Here is Miss Piper on Easter...she is getting too big.

And of course the duo...double trouble, double fun, double the love.

Day 20 ~  Friday night we opened stocking...Piper seems to like what she is opening.

Day 21 ~ Saturday we traveled from Iowa to Arkansas to be with my Grandmother and family for the weekend...sleeping really does make the trip go faster.
Day 22 ~ Sunday I was able to spend time with my a few of my cousins...Christie and are just six months apart( we have another cousin Keren who is six months older then me),  getting to spend time with any of them is special.
Here is Piper and my cousin Christie's little guy Tyler,  theses two are only a month apart.

Capturing December ~ Day 19

I have enjoyed the tree in the nursery this year (don't know if the twins really do),  it is on top of their armoire ...safe from little hands.    I decorated it with several baby's first Christmas ornaments and the ornaments I got them this year.   The little hat on the top was given to one of them in the nicu on the day they were born,  it has matching booties.   The photo frames say "Baby's First Christmas"  and hold the first photo's taken of them.    So tiny!

Capturing December ~ Day 18

Christmas with Nana and Grandpa before we head South.    The twins loved it!
And so did the big sister.   As you can tell by the look on her face...she finally got a Sleeping Beauty dress.

Capturing December ~ Day 16

Need any wrapping done...these Elves are always eager to help.  They like unrolling ribbon and tearing tissue paper best.   And the big sister Elf likes to use lots and lots of tape.   :)

Capturing December ~ Day 13

It began snowing this evening before we went to our church Christmas dinner and Uncle Tom cleared a path for me to get to the car.   How sweet :)
The picture does not do this scene justice...snow, Christmas lights, tree in the window and a flag.   It was beautiful.

Capturing December ~ Day 12

Here is our Christmas tree this year...kinda small.   We decided to go with a table top tree for sanity sake this year and I am so glad we did.   I am not usually the type to "baby proof" (put away breakable items), we usually just teach our children not to touch.   But since we have two littles it makes it very hard to keep up with both of them and I can not always see them if I am in the kitchen or other parts of the house, a table top tree made perfect sense.   We still get to enjoy the tree but with less stress on Mommy and Daddy.

Capturing December ~ Day 11

Lucas was holding this sign and a red face paint crayon when Piper found him this morning.   What did he do to her last night?

Capturing December ~ Day's 8 & 9

Aren't these two just the cutest in their plaid pj's   They were enjoying a snack on the kitchen floor while Mommy and Daddy made some treats to take to a church potluck.
We got a little snow on Sunday and so Miss Piper had to go out and play in it this morning.  She did not stay out long,  it was 13 degrees at the time.   Brrr!

Capturing December Day 4 & 5

Day 4 ~ Piper is enjoying this "Happy Birthday Jesus" ornament, it can be set to count down until Christmas and when you push a button it plays "Happy Birthday to Jesus."
Day 5 ~ Miss Piper enjoyed her cup of hot chocolate on this cold, blustery day.  Sprinkles and whipped cream make cocoa so much better.

Capturing December ~ Day 3

Trying to get some of my wrapping done this evening...my closet is way too small to hide gifts.
Piper wrapped a present to Mommy and wrote on the tag all by herself...so sweet.

Capturing December ~ Day 2

Today we spent the morning in Omaha doing a little shopping.  Eric captured this neat shot of an old building downtown.   We had a very enjoyable time but we were ready to come home and hug and kiss out kiddos.   And they were very happy to see Mommy and Daddy.

Capturing December~Day 1

Well it is that time of year...time for the daily photo's leading up to Christmas.    I will try my best to get photo's up on the right day,  but I am not making any promises.

The Cat in The Hat

Miss Piper wanted to be Cat in The Hat this year, so Mommy threw together a little costume for her.   We both thought it turned out pretty cute.
The twins were going to be Thing 1 and Thing 2 but Mommy could not find any red outfits for them and I was not going to spend a bunch of money to buy ready made ones.    Maybe we will save the idea for another year.
