I think this little guy qualifies as a small wonder. I was standing at the window and this little guy flew up and sit very still while I took the screen off and photographed him. God's creations are so neat.
I don't have anything exciting for this Small Wonders Wednesday, too busy. Sorry I missed Friday and Mondays post but we were getting ready for and then at camp meeting. I will try to have a report and so photo's of what we have been up to on Friday. Until then keeping having a great summer.

Small Wonders Wednesday
As mentioned in my previous post we have been enjoying s'mores this summer. Well that is thanks to a handy-dandy fire pot I learned how to make on Pinterest( where else do we find ideas). We have talked about a fire pit and looked at them but we always talk ourselves out of one. I ran across this idea on pinterest and knew this was the solution to our problems.
The idea I found was for table top fire pots, I used the same idea only on a larger scale. I took a terracotta flower pot I had, lined it with heavy duty foil added match light charcoal and Ta-Da a fire pot. The nice thing was all I had to buy was the charcoal and it was on sale and had fuel saver discounts(Hy-Vee perks), so it was a very cheap and easy project. I do not have a great picture of it but I think you get the idea, so nice when you don't want to spend a lot of money. I am thinking about trying to find a bigger pot and see what would happen if you burned small pieces of wood in it, so it would give off a little more heat. This one is great for roasting things but it would be nice to have a little heat for some of our cool Iowa nights. Well hoped you enjoyed seeing my little project, I would love to know if you have been making any fun this summer.

Small Wonders Wednesday ~ 6 Months Old
The duo is 6 months old, the are growing and changing everyday. So in honor of them being 6 months and July 4th I attempted a photo shoot. Let me tell you it is crazy trying to take their picture.
They are both doing great and each weigh 16 pounds. Now that is a lot of weight for Mommy to carry and sometimes I have to carry both in carseats. Makes me thankful for the times when I have a helper to go places with me.
We hope you all have a wonderful July 4th celebrating this great country of ours.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Small Wonders Wednesday
Brenna is our bald headed grinning girl, she does not laugh all the time like her brother but she grins about everything. She is not a mover, Oh, she can roll over but she would rather not use up her energy to do so. She loves Mommy too but likes most anybody that will hold her and walk around.

Small Wonders Wednesday ~ Munchkin Products Part 1
I have to tell you I love products made by Munchkin, they are quality. The duo has decided they love eating solids and so I got them these Mesh Fresh Food Feeder and let me tell you they love them. I have given them banana in it and I also make a thick cereal with some baby food Green Beans mixed in it and boy did they like that. These feeders are a mesh bag with a handle for baby to hold onto, they open so you can fill them. They can be a little tricky to clean but if you rinse them and soak them immediately after eating you will find them clean up fairly easy. They are also dishwasher safe ~ great for sanitizing once in awhile.
No clothes, laying on a towel in the living room, eating cereal with Green Beans, what more could a baby ask for.
I am going to be letting them try some more fresh fruits and veggies in theses feeders soon. Maybe apples, peaches, pears, potatoes, what do you suggest? What are some fruits and veggies that are soft or can be steamed and made softer that would be good for the duo to try?
*Fresh Food Feeders can usually be found at Wal-Mart, Target and Diapers.com, for 20% off your Diapers.com order please leave me a comment or email and I will give you a special code.
*These opinions are entirely my own, no product or money was exchanged for this review.

Small Wonders Wednesday
Ladies and Gentlemen, I just want to tell you about one of my favorite places to shop for baby stuff (and you know with two you need lots of stuff). As many of you know we live in small town Iowa, and thus we have Wal-Mart and Hy-Vee to shop for baby items, food, etc. And so the selection is very limited unless you drive 45min to an hour away for more stores. With three kids to tote along I would rather shop at home and so I have been using Diapers.com, this place is wonderful. Everything you could need for your infant, toddler or older child ~ they have it. The other thing to love about them is the fast shipping, most items are to your door in two days and most items the price is pretty much the same as your local retail store. Now how cool is that? I have used them for swings(2), highchair, bibs, pacifier, cups (for Piper) and I don't remember what else. It really has been a lifesaver for me. So if you are in the market for baby items that you just can't find or you just don't want to get out and shop this is the place for you.

Small Wonders Wednesday
Today I do not have a product for you to see, I just have a few pictures of my "Small Wonders."
Blake and Brenna turned 5 months on May 25, so hard to believe.
Brenna Joy, the smiling, snuggling, to lazy to roll over little girl. She is a roly poly sweetheart.

I just love my talkative, smiley, roller ~ Blake Levi. He had figured out how to roll and can get himself in some pretty crazy places.
My sweet kiddo's, so thankful God has allowed me to be their Mommy. Piper Jaylin, my beautiful, full of life and questions, always a princess ~ who wants to be a mechanic when she grows up...4 year old.Brenna Joy, the smiling, snuggling, to lazy to roll over little girl. Small Wonders Wednesday
When the twins were born I knew I wanted some kind of tag for their car seats that would let people know I Really did not want them touched. After doing some research I found these at Mamabears, they say exactly what needs to be said. Now if I can just get people to read them. These would make great gift for new or expecting Mommy's.

Small Wonders Wednesday
Piper was so excited about the Tupperware NeeNee got her.
Just a few photo's of the past week. This week it is a "Small Wonder" that I am even getting a post done, it has been busy around here.
Grumpy and his kiddo's.
My Mother's Day cake Piper insisted Eric buy. But as you can tell it had a mishap before it even made it out of the grocery store. Piper told me "I got you a cake because I love you." That made it taste even better.Blake and Brenna love the nice weather we are finally having, they really like their stroller.

Small Wonders Wednesday
We interrupt this normally scheduled program for Grandparents.
The small wonder for today is Play-doh, it keeps kids very entertained. Thanks to Uncle Matt and Aunt Beka for Piper's Cinderella set, she loves it.
We love having my parents come and visit. The kiddos are already spoiled.

Small Wonders Wednesday
Do your kids have a special "lovey or silky"? Or did you you have one as a child? All three of my kids do, Piper has her duck, bunny and blanket. And that is just what they are called duck, bunny, blanket or sometimes "silky", she in not overly fond of naming her "silkies or dolls". Blake has already become very attached to Mr. Monkey and Miss Brenna loves her Caterpillar. I don't mind that my children have their stuffed friends, in fact I love it. They comfort them when they are falling asleep or when riding in the car, so of course I love it.
I would love to know if you are enjoying these blog post, please leave a comment and let me know. What do you want to know about? I would love to do a post on something that interest you.

Small Wonder Wednesday
I don't know about you but I love for my babies to take a pacifier. Not just to help keep them quiet in certain situations but also because it reduces SIDS and it is a great way for them to self sooth. I am one of those "mean" Mommy's who rarely rocks her kids to sleep, our nightly routine "usually" goes something like this ~ diaper change, pj's, bottle, bed. The little ones are sleepy but not fully asleep when we put them down. So it is nice for them to have a pacifier to help fall asleep. We found the WubbaNub pacifier when we were in the hospital, love them. Not only are these things cute but they help keep the pacifier in baby's mouth, for we all know that newborn babies are great at spitting out pacifiers and make it easier to find in the night(no more binkies behind the bed). The WubbaNub is not weighted other then the stuffing in the animal but it is just enough to help hold it in but not enough that they can not spit it out if they really wanted to. If is also a "friend" for them to hold onto, I know my littles sure did that.
These are great if you are having a little one or they would also make a great shower gift for a new mommy. So many cute animals to choose from all with a "soothie" type pacifier attached.
This photo was when the twins got home from the hospital, you can see they both have their WubbaNubs. Now that they are almost four months old they have decided they do not like this type of pacifier, silly kids.

Small Wonders Wednesday
Slightly windblown but enjoying her applesauce
Don't you just love it when you find ways to save money! I know I sure do. Well my little girl just loves what she calls "squishy fruit." You probably know it as Applesauce in the squeeze pouches. These are great for easy snacks, no mess, no spoon...you get the picture. I usually buy mine at Costco and save a little money but as I was looking at Pinterest the other day I came across a pin for refillable pouches. I knew I needed to find some. To make a long story short I found some at a local Wal-Mart for about $8.00 for two. The initial cost seems high for two pouches but I know in the long run it will save me money. The pouches I bought are made by BooginHead but I know there are others who make them. So far I really like them, dishwasher safe, freezable and easy to fill. I cannot wait to use them for homemade baby food for the twins. I am thinking I will have to invest in some more. These will be so much better then carrying heavy jars of baby food(for 2 babies) in the diaper bag.

Small Wonders Wednesday
Today is the first post of Small Wonders Wednesday, this will be the day I review products or talk about the little things that make life easier or more enjoyable.
Baby Breeza temp control water kettle, this little kettle has made life to much easier. As you can imagine with two babies keeping bottles clean, enough formula on hand is a chore, not to mention making the bottles and getting the water just the right temp. I read about this kettle on a twins forum and did some research on it, it sounded like a dream come true. When Piper was a baby we did the big "No, No" and heated her bottles in the microwave, as you know this is not a good idea and I knew I did not want to be doing that with two babies. So I began the search of where to find this "small wonder", it can be found several places, Diapers.com, Target and Amazon just to name a few. I know to some this post does not apply to some who are breastfeeding but for those of us who do not want to breastfeed or cannot or maybe are adopting a little one, this is a great gadget to have. The Baby Breeza keeps the water at 98 degrees (which is the same temp as breast milk) and it holds 50oz of water. So this is my "Small Wonder" for the day, I can make a bottle (just the right temp) with one hand, while bouncing a crying baby. Hooray for the things Mommies can accomplish with one hand!
I hope you all enjoyed my first review and I also hope you are enjoying the return of spring. It can not come fast enough for us. Piper is enjoying the somewhat warmer days and also her Easter kite (of course it is Cinderella, everything is). Stay tuned for a new post of Friday.
