Finished Object for a dollar

Don't you just love to get something for pretty much nothing? Well the above picture is of the nightstand in the guest room, OK but not just "it".
Well about a month ago we went to an auction and I got this steal of a deal. The above pile of mirrors, desk and cute chest for just a buck. The moment I laid eyes of it I knew it could turn into something cute.
So after some cleaning and spray paint and Miss Piper helping do a little sanding, I now have a cute nightstand.
I am still looking for some handles for the drawers but I do believe it is an improvement over the other table. Thanks for stopping by the farmgirl report, for more Finished objects go over the the Chari Tree.

Loving Spring

A bowl of water and an old toothbrush can keep a little girl occupied for a long time. *I was using the toothbrush to clean up something for my future FOF.

Farm girl

Loving the sunshine.

Miss Piper loves being a farm girl. Here she is last spring helping Daddy with the planting. Of course Mommy had to go along.
But this year she got to go help all by herself. She loves to ride in the tractor and when she is tired she takes a nap behind the seat, just like her daddy did when he was little. I am so glad she has a daddy that prays for, plays with and loves his little girl. Until next time...Happy Spring.

I was a very small child and I now have a "healthy" size child. I wore the dress when I was two she is wearing it at fourteen months. The dress is still beautiful as it was the day my Mom made it. What great memories.

Finished Object Friday

I am so proud of myself for coming up with this idea, it turned out pretty good. I had a beautiful picture above the couch in red, gold and such, beautiful picture but wanted something less heavy for spring and summer. And so Ta-Da, a little bit of spray paint and a few holes in the walls (it is not easy getting those things straight) now I have a great new look for the season.

Country livin'

Just a peek at what has been happening here on the farm. Well the days are getting warmer (80* the last 2 days) and that means I get to use my clothesline. Today was so windy that by the time you got the last item hung the first was almost dry. Now that is windy.
My sweet baby girl just loves to play outside, she is a real country girl.

My Cherry tree is in bloom, it always makes me think of my very special friend Chari. Love you girl!
My sweetheart hard at work, sure do love that guy. Well I hope each on of you is a great week and enjoying beautiful spring weather wherever you may roam.

Beep, Beep!

Miss Piper has been having lots of fun in the Coupe car we brought home from Uncle Dave and Aunt Heidi's. Thank You Boardman's for giving Piper her first car.
We have been enjoying the beautiful spring weather here in Iowa, so far we have had a pretty dry spring. Please pray it stays this way so our farmers can get the crops in the fields on time this year. More pictures and post about farming later on, stay tuned for more.
